BBC ITV Broadcaster John Stapleton Dies Aged 79
John Stapleton, a well-known British broadcaster famed for his work on major programs such as BBC's Newsnight, Panorama, GMTV’s News Hour, and ITV's Daybreak, died peacefully in hospital at the age of 79. Stapleton's agent confirmed that his son Nick and daughter-in-law Lisa were by his side during his final moments. Throughout his career, he was a familiar face on both BBC and ITV, also being one of the original presenters for Sky News. Stapleton had spoken candidly about living with Parkinson's, emphasizing a positive attitude despite the diagnosis. His agent and family highlighted the peaceful nature of his passing early on the morning of his death.
