Nvidia Deepens Partnerships for Level 4 Autonomy
Nvidia is supplying its full‑stack autonomous platforms — including Drive AGX Hyperion 10, Drive AGX Thor, Drive AV/DriveOS and sensor suites — to partners across passenger, robotaxi and long‑haul trucking segments. Partners include Uber, Stellantis, Lucid, Mercedes‑Benz and long‑haul firms such as Aurora, Volvo Autonomous Solutions and Waabi. The Uber agreement is expected to help scale its autonomous fleet toward 100,000 vehicles beginning in 2027. A consortium of Stellantis, Nvidia, Uber and Foxconn aims to begin producing Level 4 robotaxis in 2028 with an initial deployment of about 5,000 Stellantis vehicles. Lucid will integrate Nvidia’s Drive AGX Thor, DriveOS, Drive AV and sensors into upcoming midsize EVs and the Gravity SUV, offering Level 2 supervised point‑to‑point features at launch in late 2026 and planning upgrades toward Level 4 in subsequent years, with executives cautioning fully hands‑off/mind‑off capability will not be ready at launch.
