Three-month-old Jacob Moneus, who was reported missing in Lafayette, Indiana, on August 10, was found dead the following morning concealed in a bucket of laundry detergent. A Silver Alert had been issued due to the 'extreme danger' he was believed to be in. His father, Elisard Moneus, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of domestic battery and attempted murder after allegedly attacking his wife with a tire iron or wrench. The Lafayette Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation to determine the events leading to Jacob's death.
