Resident Evil 2 Remake Launches on Apple Devices

Capcom's acclaimed remake of Resident Evil 2 will launch on December 10, 2024, for Apple devices, including iPhone 16, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPads and Macs with M1 chips or later. The game features cross-progression, allowing players to save their progress across devices, and will include enhanced controls and an Auto Fire feature for easier gameplay. A free demo will be available for players to try before purchasing the full version, which retains the original's gripping storyline and gameplay mechanics while offering modernized graphics and controls. Players will experience the narrative through the perspectives of Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield as they navigate the zombie-infested Raccoon City. This release adds to Capcom’s growing portfolio of Resident Evil titles available on Apple devices, following other recent releases like Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 7 biohazard. Pricing details for the mobile version have yet to be announced, although it is priced at $39.99 on other platforms.
