WalletHub Reveals Top Sinful Cities in America
A recent study by WalletHub has ranked cities across the U.S. based on sinfulness, with Las Vegas unsurprisingly taking the top spot due to its high numbers of casinos, adult entertainment venues, and significant engagement in gambling and vanity-related activities. Houston, ranking second, is notable for its high rates of crime and gambling, while Los Angeles, in third place, is marked by high levels of lust and vanity. Pittsburgh, Denver, and two cities in New Mexico, Albuquerque and Las Cruces, also featured prominently in the rankings, reflecting a variety of vices such as excessive drinking, vanity, and jealousy. The study examined 180 cities using 37 metrics across seven dimensions of sinfulness, including anger, jealousy, excesses, greed, lust, vanity, and laziness. Despite the negative connotations, WalletHub highlighted that some activities deemed sinful, like alcohol use or gambling, may be harmless in moderation but destructive when unchecked.
