Prime Video Unveils Full Cast for Carrie Series

Prime Video has announced the main cast for its upcoming eight-episode adaptation of Stephen King's 'Carrie,' written and helmed by Mike Flanagan. Summer H. Howell will portray Carrie White, a bullied high schooler with emerging telekinetic powers, and Samantha Sloyan will play her abusive, religiously zealous mother, Margaret White. The supporting cast includes Siena Agudong as Sue Snell, Alison Thornton as Chris Hargensen, Amber Midthunder as Miss Desjardin, Matthew Lillard as Principal Grayle, and Joel Oulette as Tommy. Filming is set to commence this summer in Vancouver under Amazon MGM Studios. The series is described as a bold and timely reimagining that will be the longest adaptation of King's novel to date and reunites several of Flanagan's frequent collaborators. It will explore Carrie's life at home and school following her father's death, focusing on themes of bullying, trauma, and supernatural revenge.
