Sharon Van Etten Announces Debut Album in February

Sharon Van Etten has announced her debut album with her new band, Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory, set for release on February 7, 2025. The band features her long-time collaborators Jorge Balbi, Devra Hoff, and Teeny Lieberson, and they have shared the lead single 'Afterlife,' which showcases a fresh, more synth-driven sound. Van Etten described the creative process as a first for her, having initiated jam sessions that led to the spontaneous writing of two songs. Produced by Marta Salogni at the Church studio in London, the album reflects Van Etten's exploration of collaboration and emotional openness. The band will embark on a European tour in early 2025, with Nabihah Iqbal as the supporting act. The album tracklist includes ten new songs, highlighting a shift in Van Etten’s musical direction while maintaining her distinctive style.
