FedEx Expands UAE Shipping Network, Plans UK Hub Consolidation

FedEx is undertaking major expansions in both the UK and UAE to enhance its logistics and retail shipping networks. In the UK, FedEx plans to consolidate five road hubs into two new state-of-the-art facilities near its existing Kingsbury/Atherstone and Marston Gate sites, expected to be operational by 2029; these hubs will process up to 32,000 packages per hour and support growth for businesses including SMEs. This strategic upgrade aims to deliver a more flexible, efficient network and better working conditions, with FedEx coordinating closely with unions to support affected employees. Meanwhile, in the UAE, FedEx has partnered with Emirates Post to open 68 new FedEx Authorized Shipping Centers across the country's postal branches, allowing walk-in customers to access international FedEx shipping services without requiring an account. This expansion improves accessibility, supports the UAE’s national agenda, and strengthens connectivity to global markets by providing fast, reliable shipping options including international priority delivery.
