Ukrainian Hackers Disrupt Russian Media on Putin's Birthday

Ukrainian hackers, reportedly linked to the group 'sudo rm-RF,' launched a significant cyberattack on Russian state media, disrupting broadcasts of channels like Rossiya-1, Rossiya-24, and radio stations Vesti FM and Mayak. The attack, which coincided with President Vladimir Putin's 72nd birthday, was described as 'unprecedented' by Russian officials, including Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. Ukrainian officials, while not officially claiming responsibility, indicated the attack was a strategic move against Russian propaganda machinery. In addition to the broadcast disruption, a separate incident saw the Feodosia Oil Terminal in Crimea set ablaze, allegedly by a Ukrainian drone attack, although Russian authorities acknowledged only a 'man-made emergency.'
