Multiple UK Companies Complete Significant Share Buybacks

Several companies have recently announced share buyback activities as part of their respective repurchase programs. Character Group repurchased and cancelled shares, resulting in 18,016,899 ordinary shares in issue and the same number of total voting rights. Elementis acquired shares through Numis Securities Limited for cancellation, leaving 579,608,240 ordinary shares in issue and total voting rights. Schroder Income Growth Fund purchased 32,500 shares to hold in treasury, with a total of 1,444,191 shares now held in treasury and 68,019,152 voting rights outstanding. Another company announced a purchase of 75,000 shares to be held in treasury, resulting in 8,981,398 treasury shares and 169,334,545 shares in issue excluding treasury shares. These share repurchases affect the denominator used by shareholders to calculate notifications under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
