Warm Start, Cold Front Brings Cooldown
Many U.S. regions will see warm, often sunny conditions early in the week with pockets of showers and isolated storms, then a cold front later in the week will bring cooler, more unsettled weather and increased rain chances into the weekend. Treasure Valley has a frost advisory overnight despite afternoons warming into the 70s–low 80s; a Friday front will bring showers and a sharp 10–20°F temperature drop on Saturday. The Tennessee Valley and parts of Mississippi and Alabama will be muggy with scattered, locally heavy afternoon/evening storms and breezy southeast winds before clearing and cooler conditions midweek. Areas from Iowa to Michigan should see showers taper early Tuesday with near-normal highs, though incoming cold fronts could produce lines of rain and gusty winds with low severe risk. Southern Texas (Laredo) has only a slight sea-breeze shower chance, while the Bay Area will be unusually warm early in the week before onshore flow cools temperatures and brings uncertain rain chances Friday–Saturday. Forecasts no longer emphasize the previously monitored tropical disturbances or broad marine advisories; coastal and marine interests should continue to monitor local forecasts for any changes.
