Fredrik Moeller of Norway achieved his first World Cup victory in the super-G event at Bormio, finishing 0.20 seconds ahead of Austria's Vincent Kriechmayr. The race was marred by the serious crash of Swiss skier Gino Caviezel, who was airlifted to Switzerland with a dislocated shoulder and a complex knee injury. Moeller's win follows his fourth-place finishes in the season's previous races, showcasing a strong performance on the challenging Stelvio slope, which will host the 2026 Olympics. Alongside him, Alexis Monney, who won the downhill event the previous day, took third place. Despite Moeller's triumph, reigning champion Marco Odermatt did not secure a podium spot, finishing fifth.
