Nintendo Adds Donkey Kong Land to Switch Online

Nintendo has announced the addition of Donkey Kong Land to the Game Boy retro library for Switch Online members, marking a significant update ahead of the original game's 30th anniversary. The game, originally developed by Rare in 1995, offers a side-scrolling platforming experience similar to Donkey Kong Country, but tailored for handheld play. Players will embark on an adventure with Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong to retrieve hidden bananas from K. Rool and his minions across various levels filled with challenges and secrets. This update is the first for the basic tier since September, following several Expansion Pack updates in October. Additionally, Japanese Switch Online members will receive the Super Game Boy version of the game. The consistent updates to the retro libraries reinforce Nintendo's commitment to enhancing the user experience on Switch Online.
