Royal Court Plans 70th Anniversary Season Featuring Tilda Swinton Gary Oldman

The Royal Court Theatre in London has announced its 70th anniversary season for 2026, featuring notable actors Sir Gary Oldman and Tilda Swinton. Oldman will star in and direct Samuel Beckett's one-man play "Krapp's Last Tape," running from May 8-30 at the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs, accompanied by the Beckett-inspired short "Godot's To-Do List." Swinton will reprise her role in Manfred Karge's "Man to Man," a play about a woman impersonating her dead husband, which will also transfer internationally after its run from September 5 to October 24. The season will include the transfer of the Tony Award-nominated Broadway hit "John Proctor is the Villain," a contemporary reassessment of Arthur Miller's "The Crucible," running from March 20 to April 25. The lineup opens with Luke Norris's new play "Guess How Much I Love You?" and also features several world premieres, making for a diverse and high-profile celebration of the theatre's history and legacy.
