T Dilip Back, Gill Named India Test Captain

Dilip's return was prompted by the board's inability to find a suitable foreign replacement and a special request from outgoing Test captain Rohit Sharma, with Shubman Gill set to take over as captain. Gill and B Sai Sudharsan are expected to miss India A's second four-day match against England Lions, mainly due to IPL commitments and the need to keep Gill fresh for the main Test series. India A, led by coaches Hrishikesh Kanitkar, Ryan ten Doeschate, and Troy Cooley, will play two matches in England. The main squad's preparations will focus on intra-squad games and early arrivals.
