Clemson Tops Notre Dame 2-1, Extends Winning Streak to 16
Aidan Knaak delivered a standout performance with a career-high 12 strikeouts, leading No. 4 Clemson to a 2-1 victory over Notre Dame at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The Tigers improved to 18-1 overall and 1-0 in the ACC, extending their winning streak to 16 games. Knaak allowed just one hit and one walk over seven scoreless innings, retiring the last 13 batters he faced. Clemson scored early with Josh Paino's infield single and added an insurance run in the fourth from a Jacob Jarrell single. Notre Dame's starter Jack Radel took the loss despite a solid outing, yielding two runs (one earned) over five innings. The two teams will continue their series on Saturday at 3 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
