Athletes Unlimited to Host 2025 Season in Nashville

Athletes Unlimited (AU) will hold its fourth women's basketball season in Nashville from February 5 to March 2, 2025, at the Municipal Auditorium. The league, featuring 24 games and 40 players, 29 of whom have WNBA experience, offers professionals an alternative to playing overseas after the WNBA season. AU Pro Basketball, which began in Las Vegas in 2022 and moved to Dallas for the 2023 and 2024 seasons, is a five-on-five league where players earn points for team wins and individual performances, with weekly team drafts. Competition this winter will come from Unrivaled, a new 3-on-3 league created by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier. Nashville Mayor Freddie O'Connell and league officials expressed excitement about the city's rich basketball history and the opportunity to host the event.
