Man Arrested After Getting Stuck in Hospital Ceiling

A man believed to be under the influence of drugs caused a commotion at the San Antonio Regional Hospital in Upland, California, after crawling into the ceiling and getting stuck. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. when he was last seen on surveillance footage entering a restroom but never exiting. After breaking through ceiling tiles, he found himself wedged under a steel beam above the emergency room, prompting police and firefighters to respond. Using a pole camera, responders located him in the dark, and it took nearly an hour to extricate him without interrupting hospital services. The chaos resulted in approximately $5,000 in damages to the hospital's infrastructure, and he was subsequently arrested for felony vandalism. Fortunately, despite the incident, emergency services continued uninterrupted during the rescue.
