Coldplay Tops 2025 Touring Earnings Amid Global Market Decline

Coldplay's Music of the Spheres World Tour has emerged as the highest-earning global tour of 2025, grossing over $136 million from 21 concerts and generating approximately £100 million in revenue, with an average ticket price around $114 or £83.65. The tour is noted for its large stadium venues and sustainability focus, contributing to a 25% increase in average revenue per show and a 32.1% rise in average ticket sales compared to 2024. Following Coldplay, Shakira's Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour and Kendrick Lamar & SZA's Grand National tour have also surpassed $100 million in gross earnings, with Lamar & SZA commanding the highest average ticket price at $224. Despite the strong performance of top tours, the overall live music market showed mixed results with a 5.5% decline in average ticket prices and a 26.7% decrease in the number of reported performances among the top 100 artists, leading to an 8.4% drop in total gross revenue compared to last year. Coldplay's collaboration with Palestinian-Chilean artist Elyanna highlights the band's effort to blend diverse musical styles and spotlight emerging talent during their North American leg. The band's success places them far ahead of other UK and Irish acts, with Paul McCartney and Oasis trailing behind in earnings for 2025.
