Michelin Adds 15 New Restaurants to California Guide 2025

Michelin has unveiled 15 new California restaurants as 'new discoveries' for its prestigious guide, representing diverse cuisines from Japan to Malaysia and covering regions from Los Angeles to the Bay Area. These establishments, which include a mix of high-end sushi spots, French-inspired California cuisine, and Southeast Asian eateries, could potentially receive Michelin stars or Bib Gourmand recognition when the full guide is released later this year. Los Angeles, with its vibrant dining scene, hosts nearly half of these new additions, including the notable Malaysian restaurant Rasarumah. Other highlighted locales include Sun Moon Studio in Oakland and various innovative culinary spots in San Francisco and Wine Country. The Michelin Guide's continued expansion in California reaffirms the state's status as a global dining destination, boasting 85 starred restaurants and 132 Bib Gourmands in the previous year.
