Brewers Extend Streak, Nationals Fire Management
The Milwaukee Brewers continued their strong run with an 8-3 win over the Washington Nationals, highlighted by Christian Yelich's two-run homer during a decisive six-run third inning. Andrew Vaughn set a franchise record by recording RBIs in his first four games as a Brewer. Milwaukee has won five straight games, outscoring opponents 26-8 in that span, and recently swept the NL-leading Dodgers. Brewers starter Quinn Priester earned the win with a solid six-inning outing. The Nationals, who have lost six of their last seven games, have recently fired both their manager and general manager. The Brewers now boast a 31-17 home record and stand second in the NL Central.
