Queen Camilla visited Westminster Abbey to tour the site of the new King Charles III Sacristy, a £13 million project aimed at enhancing visitor experience. The new building will replace outdated visitor facilities, allowing the Abbey to reclaim over 10% of its floor space for worship and enjoyment. During her visit, Camilla expressed excitement about the project's progress and was particularly intrigued by archaeological finds, including medieval skeletons. The Sacristy is being constructed on the footprint of Henry III's original 13th-century Great Sacristy. Work is set to begin early next year, with completion anticipated by 2026.
