Hong Kong launches GoGlobal task force supporting Mainland firms' overseas expansion

Hong Kong has launched the GoGlobal Task Force, a comprehensive platform designed to assist Chinese mainland enterprises in expanding their international presence. Led by Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Algernon Yau and backed by Financial Secretary Paul Chan, the task force integrates resources from Invest Hong Kong, the Trade Development Council, and Hong Kong's overseas and mainland offices to provide coordinated support. The initiative focuses on encouraging global expansion, particularly into the Global South and emerging markets, while leveraging Hong Kong's role as a global finance, trade, and professional services hub. It aims to remove barriers for mainland firms by offering tailored professional services, facilitating overseas market visits, and promoting tax incentives to attract businesses to establish operations such as Corporate Treasury Centers in Hong Kong. The task force also seeks to align with national strategies like the Greater Bay Area development and the Belt and Road Initiative, ensuring sustained growth for mainland enterprises and reinforcing Hong Kong's position as an international trade hub. Over 100 representatives from various professional sectors are engaged to provide comprehensive support to these enterprises.
