Massachusetts Man Charged in Roommate's Death

Richard Lombardi, 65, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and assault and battery on an elderly person following the death of his 80-year-old roommate, Frank Griswold, during a dispute over Thanksgiving meal preparations in Marshfield, Massachusetts. The altercation escalated when Lombardi allegedly pushed Griswold, causing him to fall and sustain fatal injuries, including blunt force trauma to the head. Lombardi stated he was concerned about Griswold's habit of sneezing near the food, leading to the confrontation. After the incident, Lombardi called 911 upon realizing Griswold was unresponsive and bleeding. Lombardi's attorney claims the incident was an unfortunate accident, as the two had been friends and roommates for over 20 years. He is currently being held without bail and is scheduled for a dangerousness hearing on December 4.
