Initially mistaking his symptoms for acid reflux, Fripp was hospitalized in Bergamo, where doctors found dangerously high troponin levels and diagnosed a trifurcated artery, requiring two emergency surgeries with stent insertions. Despite the ordeal, Fripp managed to perform with the ensemble shortly after his operations and is now recovering. He and his wife Toyah Willcox have paused their popular 'Sunday Lunch' YouTube series while he recuperates, expressing gratitude to the medical team.
