Guillaume de Mevius Wins Dakar Rally Stage Six
Belgian driver Guillaume De Mevius and French co-driver Mathieu Baumel secured their first stage win of the 2025 Dakar Rally on January 11, ending Toyota's dominance in the competition. De Mevius, racing for MINI, finished 1 minute and 34 seconds ahead of teammate Joao Ferreira, marking his fourth career stage win in the Dakar. Meanwhile, American rider Ricky Brabec also celebrated his first stage win of the year in the bike category, finishing ahead of teammate Adrien Van Beveren. Despite facing challenges, including a significant fall from competitor Ross Branch, Brabec highlighted the tough nature of the stage. South African Henk Lategan remains the overall leader in the car category, while Brabec's win positions him fourth overall in the bike standings. The event continues with more stages ahead as competitors navigate the demanding terrain of Saudi Arabia.
