Razorbacks Clinch Series vs. No. 1 Texas
The Arkansas Razorbacks clinched a historic weekend series win over the top-ranked Texas Longhorns, their first such series victory against Texas since 1989. Arkansas dominated behind strong pitching, including Zach Root's 11 strikeouts over eight shutout innings in a 9-0 series opener and Gage Wood's career-high nine strikeouts in Friday's 6-1 win. Offensive highlights included Kuhio Aloy's bases-clearing double and home runs from Brent Iredale and Carson Boles. Razorback pitchers limited Texas to only one run across the first two games, and Arkansas capitalized on patient at-bats to build leads. The Razorbacks now have an opportunity to sweep the series in Saturday's finale, which would match the program's best 24-game SEC start. The sweep had not yet been completed at the time of the latest update.
