MacKenzie Scott, billionaire philanthropist and ex-wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, has made a substantial $10 million donation to Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs (ACE), a Georgia-based nonprofit aimed at supporting small businesses. This contribution marks the largest gift ACE has ever received, following her previous $5 million donation in 2020. The funding will enable ACE to implement its five-year strategic plan, which aims to lend $300 million to 1,500 small businesses and provide over 100,000 hours of advisory services. ACE focuses on aiding women, people of color, and low-income entrepreneurs, and the donation is expected to significantly enhance its capacity to serve these communities. Grace Fricks, ACE’s CEO, expressed her surprise and gratitude, noting the donation's potential to propel the organization to new heights. Scott's philanthropic efforts have totaled approximately $17.3 billion to over 2,300 organizations since her divorce in 2019.
