Thousands of Students Move In at University of Tampa, FSU, FAMU, Ohio State, Indiana

Move-in week for the fall 2025 semester is underway at several major universities across the U.S., including The University of Tampa, Florida State University (FSU), Florida A&M University (FAMU), and Indiana University. At The University of Tampa, approximately 2,000 new students moved into residence halls on the first day, with a total of 5,000 expected by Sunday, supported by volunteers during the Week of Welcome events designed to help students transition to campus life. FAMU opened its new 700-bed residence hall, Venom Landing, with President Marva Johnson personally assisting students and welcoming families, emphasizing the excitement of being the first to live in the new facility. Similarly, incoming students at FSU and Indiana University expressed enthusiasm about their new living arrangements, academic programs, and campus activities. Indiana University is also hosting Welcome Week activities featuring tours, live music, and job fairs to help new students acclimate. These coordinated efforts across campuses highlight the focus on community building and student support as thousands of new and returning students begin their college journeys.
