British Tourist Arrested for Rape in Thailand

Luke Adam Lawrence, a 30-year-old British tourist from Leeds, has been arrested in Pattaya, Thailand, for the alleged rape of a six-year-old girl. He was identified by the UK's National Crime Agency (NCA) after investigators traced a disturbing video of the abuse. Lawrence was apprehended by armed police at his rented condominium on December 3, where he was living with a Thai girlfriend. During the arrest, a translator read the charges, which include rape and statutory rape against a minor who was unable to resist. The Thai Central Investigation Bureau confirmed that the investigation began after the NCA linked child abuse content to Lawrence's phone. Authorities believe he had connections to the victim's mother and had known the child through a friend.
