Terrorist Attack in Gulmarg Kills Four

A terrorist ambush in the Butapathri area of Baramulla district, Jammu and Kashmir, resulted in the deaths of two Indian Army soldiers and two porters on October 24. The attack occurred near the Line of Control when heavily armed militants targeted an army patrol vehicle, injuring three additional soldiers. The deceased porters were identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary and Zahoor Ahmad Mir, both from Baramulla. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha condemned the attack, emphasizing the need for a swift response and offering condolences to the families of the victims. This incident marks the second significant attack in the region within a week, raising concerns over security amidst a surge in violence against both military personnel and migrant workers. A major search operation is currently underway to locate the attackers.
