Broadway Man Charged With GBH After Pensioner Assault
An 88-year-old man was seriously assaulted on May 11 in Murcot Turn, Broadway, Evesham, and subsequently taken to the hospital. Adrian Paskin, 40, from Murcot Turn, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, criminal damage, and theft related to the attack, and is due to appear at Worcester Crown Court on June 9. Another 46-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident remains on police bail. Separately, a 76-year-old pensioner in Edinburgh was assaulted near Tesco on Broughton Road by a man described as slim, bald, between 60 and 75 years old, and noted for a distinctive crouched walk. The Edinburgh police have appealed for witnesses and any dash cam footage to assist in identifying the suspect, emphasizing that the victim did not require hospital treatment. These incidents highlight ongoing concerns about violent attacks on elderly individuals in different UK locations.
