Travis Hunter Named AP College Football Player of Year

Travis Hunter, the standout two-way player for the Colorado Buffaloes, has been named The Associated Press college football player of the year, securing 26 out of 43 votes. In addition to this prestigious award, Hunter also claimed the Big 12 defensive player of the year title while leading the conference in receptions and touchdowns as a wide receiver. He has made a significant impact on both sides of the ball, with impressive statistics that include four interceptions and 92 receptions for 1,152 yards. Hunter's success has drawn comparisons to legendary players like Charles Woodson and Champ Bailey, and he credits his coach, Deion Sanders, for allowing him to showcase his unique talents. Alongside Hunter, Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders was recognized as the Big 12's top offensive player.
