Findi Acquires Bankit for AU$30 Million, Strengthens Financial Inclusion in India

Findi Ltd has acquired the Indian fintech company Bankit Services for AU$30 million through its subsidiary, Transaction Solutions International (TSI). This acquisition aims to enhance financial access in rural and semi-urban areas of India, tripling Findi's merchant network to over 180,000 partners and increasing its reach to more than 12,000 pin codes. Bankit, which operates a network of over 129,000 outlets across 28 states, will significantly contribute to Findi's mission of empowering the underbanked with improved financial services. Both companies are focused on transforming merchant partners into financial hubs to deliver essential banking services to underserved communities. The acquisition complements Findi's recent purchase of Tata Communications’ white label ATM business, Indicash, further broadening its financial service offerings. Findi's CEO highlighted the importance of this move in driving financial inclusion and literacy in rural India.
