Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry has filed a lawsuit against Digital Dream Labs, a Pittsburgh-based robotics and educational technology company, for failing to fulfill over 14,000 orders for its in-home companion robots, including Vector 2.0, Cozmo 2.0, and the Butter Robot. Customers who prepaid for these products, which cost between $147 and $655 each, have reportedly not received refunds or updates regarding their orders, amounting to more than $4 million in sales. The lawsuit seeks restitution for affected consumers, civil penalties, and an injunction to prevent the company from accepting prepayments in the future. Attorney General Henry emphasized the need for accountability, stating that consumers were left without their purchased products and without recourse for their payments. Additionally, the lawsuit alleges violations of Pennsylvania's Consumer Protection Law and the Federal Trade Commission's rules on sales. Digital Dream Labs has not yet commented on the lawsuit, which follows the recent appointment of a new CEO, Zack Anton.
