Sacred Heart Wins Historic Undefeated Field Hockey Championship; Amity Claims 9th SCC Volleyball Title

Sacred Heart’s girls soccer team (No. 2) beat No. 3 Lexington Catholic 3-1 in a Lexington semifinal — with a Samantha Miron free kick and goals from Mia Lancaster and Emma Zutterman — and will face Highlands at 7 p.m. Saturday for the state championship. Sacred Heart field hockey defeated Christian Academy of Louisville 3-1 as Anna Kosek scored twice, closing a 28-0-1 season to become the first unbeaten state champion in KHSAA field hockey history and claiming the program’s fifth title (first since 2021). In Minnesota, East Grand Forks Sacred Heart volleyball improved to 29-1 with a 25-17, 25-21, 25-10 sweep of Fertile-Beltrami in the Section 8A semifinals and advances to Friday’s 7 p.m. section championship against Ada-Borup-West for a shot at the program’s first Class A state tournament berth.
