GROWiT Raises $3 Million Series A to Expand India, Africa Markets

GROWiT India, a Surat-based agritech startup founded in 2020, has raised $3 million in a Series A funding round led by GVFL, with participation from several other investors. The funds will support GROWiT's expansion plans, enhance research and development, and strengthen its technology infrastructure to better serve farmers. The company offers a portfolio of sustainable agriculture products, including India's first pocket-friendly soil health testing device, mulch films, crop covers, and weed mats, designed to boost productivity while promoting climate-resilient farming. GROWiT operates across 12 Indian states with over 650 franchise partners and serves more than 225,000 farmers, aiming to increase domestic market penetration and scale exports to Africa and other emerging markets. Its focus is on making advanced farming technologies affordable and accessible to smallholder farmers to help increase yields, reduce input costs, and build resilience against climate change impacts. GVFL highlighted GROWiT as a strong player in the agritech segment, emphasizing the importance of affordable, climate-friendly farming innovations for India's largely underserved agriculture sector.
