Modi Begins Historic Five-Nation Diplomatic Tour

Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced a historic five-nation tour on July 2, 2025, beginning with Ghana—the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister in over thirty years. Modi was welcomed by President John Mahama, with both leaders committing to deepen cooperation in trade, defence, digital payments, healthcare, and counter-terrorism. Several bilateral agreements were signed, covering cultural exchange, standards, and economic collaboration, with an ambition to double trade within five years.
