Russian PM Mishustin Visits Iran Amid Accusations

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin is visiting Tehran to meet with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, focusing on enhancing bilateral trade and economic cooperation in areas such as transport, energy, industry, and agriculture. This visit precedes a planned meeting between Pezeshkian and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the BRICS summit in October. Mishustin's visit also comes amid Western accusations that Iran is supplying ballistic missiles and drones to Russia for the Ukraine war, which both Moscow and Tehran deny. Additionally, Mishustin will participate in the Eurasian Economic Forum in Armenia to discuss digitalisation and market operations within the Eurasian Economic Union.
