Kevin Sinfield Begins Fundraising Challenge for MND

Kevin Sinfield has commenced his 'Running Home for Christmas' challenge, which entails running 50 kilometers daily for a week in memory of his former teammate Rob Burrow, who passed away from motor neurone disease (MND). Sinfield, who has previously raised over £16 million for MND charities since Burrow's diagnosis in 2019, received a supportive video message from Prince William, who called the challenge a 'fitting tribute' to Burrow's legacy. The initiative aims to raise awareness and funds for MND, with approximately £288,000 already donated towards Sinfield's £777,777 target. Sinfield's journey includes significant stops across the UK, culminating in his hometown of Saddleworth. His efforts have garnered significant public backing, including participation from over 8,000 individuals at the Liverpool Santa Dash. The MND community expressed relief that Sinfield continues his fundraising despite Burrow's death, showcasing his commitment to the cause.
