Saturday Night Live (SNL) is set to celebrate its 50th season with a lineup of five consecutive live shows beginning on September 28, hosted by Emmy winner Jean Smart alongside musical guest Jelly Roll. The season will also feature notable hosts such as Nate Bargatze, Ariana Grande, Michael Keaton, and John Mulaney, with musical performances from Coldplay, Stevie Nicks, Billie Eilish, and Chappell Roan. Changes in the cast include the departure of Punkie Johnson, Molly Kearney, and Chloe Troast, while Marcello Hernandez, Michael Longfellow, and Devon Walker have been promoted to the main cast. New featured players joining the show are Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim, and Jane Wickline. SNL is produced by Lorne Michaels and recently celebrated its status as the most awarded show in Emmy history, with 101 wins. A primetime special is also planned for February 2025 to commemorate the landmark anniversary.
