Indiana Teen Arrested for Valentine's Day Shooting Plot

Trinity Shockley, an 18-year-old student who identifies as transgender, was arrested in Indiana for allegedly planning a mass shooting at Mooresville High School on Valentine's Day, inspired by the 2018 Parkland shooting. Shockley, who goes by Jamie, reportedly admired Nikolas Cruz, the Parkland shooter, and had been planning the attack for a year, referring to it as 'Parkland part two'. The FBI was tipped off by a friend through the Sandy Hook Promise's Say Something Anonymous Reporting System, leading to Shockley's arrest. Authorities discovered an AR-15 rifle, a bulletproof vest, and a collage of mass shooters in her possession. Shockley has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and intimidation-related offenses, and is being held without bond in Morgan County Jail.
