Netflix Unveils Docuseries on Fred and Rosemary West

Netflix will release a three-part docuseries, 'Fred & Rose West: A British Horror Story,' on May 14, 2025, examining the crimes of British serial killers Fred and Rosemary West. The series features exclusive, previously unseen police video footage, unheard audio recordings, and interviews with family members of their 12 known victims, some speaking publicly for the first time. Each episode focuses on a different aspect: Fred’s questioning over his missing daughter Heather, Rosemary’s role as accomplice and murderer, and the subsequent trial and search for further evidence. Directed by Dan Dewsbury and produced by Blink Films, the documentary aims to provide a deeper understanding of the police investigation and the trauma experienced by victims’ families. The Wests’ crimes, committed between 1967 and 1987 at their so-called 'House of Horrors,' are among the most infamous in UK history. The series has generated both anticipation for its exclusive content and criticism regarding the ethics of true crime entertainment.
