Rochester Women Arrested for Identity Theft, Shoplifting in Victor
Three Rochester women were recently arrested on theft-related charges in separate incidents in the New York area. Krista Stewart, 60, was arrested by Greece Police for second-degree identity theft and possession of stolen property after using credit cards stolen from a wallet taken at an assisted care facility. Surveillance footage and witness accounts helped identify Stewart, who was charged and released on an appearance ticket. In the Town of Victor, 46-year-old Chancye White was charged with shoplifting merchandise worth $58.56 from a Target store and is scheduled to appear in court. Additionally, 33-year-old Alicia Ansbrow of River Heights was arrested for shoplifting approximately $169 worth of merchandise from Macy's in the same town and faces similar court proceedings. All suspects have been formally charged but are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
