Tanzania, Botswana, Mozambique Qualify for Africa Cup of Nations

Botswana, Mozambique, and Tanzania secured the last qualification spots for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, concluding an exciting qualifying round. Botswana managed an unexpected 1-1 draw against Egypt, while Mozambique triumphed 2-1 over Guinea Bissau, thanks to key goals from Bruno Langa and Stanley Ratifo. Tanzania clinched their place by defeating Guinea 1-0, with Simon Msuva scoring the only goal. Notably, this marks Tanzania's fourth appearance in the tournament, whereas Botswana returns after a 12-year absence. Meanwhile, Ghana, a four-time champion, missed out on the tournament for the first time since 2004. The AFCON finals are set to take place between December 2025 and January 2026.
