Minnesota Man Charged with Murder of Mother in Recliner

Nathan Douglas Davin, 46, has been charged with second-degree murder after fatally shooting his 74-year-old mother, MaeDean Davin, while she was sleeping in a recliner in their Duluth, Minnesota home. Authorities found a gruesome crime scene with MaeDean suffering a devastating gunshot wound to the face and blunt force trauma to her head. Nathan, who was found covered in blood and wearing only boxers, alerted neighbors to the death and told police he found his mother dead, later admitting, "I killed my mother." Investigators discovered a Glock 9 mm with blood and matching ammunition at the scene, along with satanic symbols and phrases spray-painted inside the house. MaeDean, a retired teacher, was remembered fondly by her school community, which expressed shock and sadness at her death.
