Tragically, three children drowned while swimming in a man-made water pit in Kurnool's Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh. The victims, aged between 8 and 10, were playing near the village when they were swept away, with only two boys being rescued by bystanders. In a separate incident in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, four schoolgirls drowned in a pond after one of them slipped in, prompting the others to jump in to help. All four girls, aged 12 to 15, were pronounced dead at the hospital after the incident. Similarly, in Udaipur, Rajasthan, four children who went to graze goats drowned while bathing in a pond due to strong water currents. These incidents have led to mourning in the respective communities as investigations are underway.
