New Indoor Pickleball Facilities Planned Nationwide

The growing popularity of pickleball is leading to a surge in new indoor facilities across the United States. In Kennewick, Washington, a new 50,000-square-foot facility with 18 to 20 courts is planned, with hopes to open in early 2026, offering amenities like a pro shop and youth programs. Meanwhile, in Seattle, a former chocolate factory is set to become a Picklr gym, part of a national franchise that has plans for 11 locations in Washington state, backed by former NFL star Drew Brees. Biddeford, Maine, will also welcome Bounce Pickle + Play, featuring six courts and additional sports facilities, aiming for a spring opening. Additionally, Pickleball Kingdom is expanding rapidly, with a new 39,000-square-foot facility in Hendersonville, Tennessee, opening soon, as part of its initiative to enhance the pickleball experience nationwide. The sport's growth is underscored by Washington state's designation of pickleball as its official sport.
