Pat Williams, a celebrated NBA executive and co-founder of the Orlando Magic, passed away at the age of 84 due to complications from viral pneumonia. Williams began his illustrious career in 1968 as the business manager for the Philadelphia 76ers and later served as general manager for the Chicago Bulls, Atlanta Hawks, and the 76ers, leading the latter to an NBA championship in 1983.
