Two Charged in Durham County Detention Center Case

Two individuals, Lerin Burnette and Jade Shanicia Lanique Robertson, have been charged with engaging in sexual activity with the same inmate at the Durham County Detention Center, raising serious concerns within the law enforcement community. Both were implicated in the incidents that occurred on August 1, 2023, with allegations of Burnette, a contractor, and Robertson, a former detention officer, violating state law that prohibits such conduct, classified as a Class E felony.
